Our Ghana cacao is grown by four organic cooperatives in the Ashanti and Eastern Regions: Three Mountains in Asante Akim South, ABOCFA near Suhum, AWENCOFA in Nkawkaw and AYOCOFA B in Greater Suhum. Together they represent 5,171 smallholder farmers, each certified organic to US, EU and Japanese standards.

Four Cooperatives, One Standard
Each cooperative is farmer owned and farmer run. Members vote at a General Assembly, share services and earn organic and quality premiums on top of the cocoa price.
Farm-Level Craft
Ghana does not allow the sale of wet cocoa, so fermentation and drying happen at home. Farmers ferment in heaps, dry on raised beds and test moisture before a bean leaves the farm.
Rewarding Excellence
AWENCOFA and AYOCOFA B honor their best organic farmers every year in four categories: women, men, youth and farmers with disabilities.
1. Heap Fermentation
Fresh beans are fermented in heaps on the farm, with temperature checks and cut tests along the way to track how the flavor is developing.
2. Raised-Bed Drying
Beans are sun-dried on raised beds beside the farmers' homes, and moisture content is tested before the lot is accepted.
3. Quality Grading
Dried lots are collected by each cooperative and graded, keeping traceability intact from the family plot to export.
