Part-Time Contractor — Social Media & Community Manager (Miami)
About The Conscious Bar
The Conscious Bar is redefining chocolate as a nourishing pleasure—built on real ingredients, real education, and real community.
The Role (Contractor)
You’ll own the day-to-day execution of our organic social presence and community. You are not the lead strategist, but you are the person who makes the plan come alive: posting consistently, engaging the community in real time, and capturing native content when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Publishing + Scheduling
- Manage scheduling and posting across all organic platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
- Own the publishing calendar and ensure consistency across channels.
- Coordinate with Creative Director/creative team to receive assets and post on time.
Captions + Platform Execution
- Write/edit platform-specific captions in TCB voice (clean, minimal, witty, educational when needed).
- Handle tagging, hashtags, geo-tags (Miami), and platform-native formatting best practices.
- Maintain organized workflows for assets, drafts, approvals, and versioning.
Community Management (Comments + DMs)
- Respond to comments across platforms quickly and in brand voice.
- Respond to DMs, triage support needs, and escalate when necessary.
- Track FAQs, objections, and recurring community themes; report insights weekly.
Stories Posting + Community Building
- Post Stories daily: scheduled assets + timely, “in the moment” content.
- Keep Stories feeling alive using polls, question boxes, quizzes, reposts, UGC, and community prompts.
- Maintain Story hygiene (high frequency, low friction, native feel).
Native iPhone Content Capture (A Must)
- Shoot native-to-platform iPhone content as needed (Stories/Reels/TikTok style).
- Capture quick BTS, in-store moments, team moments, product moments, and Miami lifestyle moments.
- Maintain strong composition, lighting, framing, and aesthetic consistency with the brand.
- Coordinate with team occasionally to record certain moments/content when prompted.
Trend + Culture Fluency
- Stay current on organic IG/TikTok trends, platform features, editing styles, and cultural moments.
- Understand internet language, memes, sounds, formats, pop culture, and “what’s hitting right now.”
- Bring trend opportunities to the team (lightweight suggestions + “we should post this today” instincts).
On-Camera Presence
- Comfortable filming selfie-style clips and appearing on camera when needed (quick community updates, story Q&As, reactions, etc.).
Requirements
- Miami local (in-person availability as needed).
- Strong experience running organic IG + TikTok (you know them like the back of your hand).
- Excellent on-camera comfort + confident, natural presence.
- Strong iPhone shooting skills + a great eye for aesthetics (framing, lighting, vibe).
- Deep cultural fluency: trends, pop culture, and social media moments.
- Health + wellness nerd energy (ingredients, labels, wellness lifestyle familiarity).
- Loves chocolate (genuinely).
Nice-to-Haves
- Light editing skills (CapCut, Reels/TikTok native edits, subtitles).
- Experience with wellness/CPG brands.
- UGC instincts and creator coordination experience.
Time Commitment
- Part-time contractor (typical range: ~10–20 hrs/week depending on content volume).
- Some weekend responsiveness may be required for community.
Success Looks Like
- We post consistently without gaps.
- Comments/DMs feel fast, warm, at times witty and “real.”
- Stories feel like a community hub (not just announcements)
- IG Lives + Live Shopping moments now and then
- Native iPhone content adds freshness and cultural relevance.
