Simple and basic with minimal ingredients. Good but not great. Disappointed. Cost is too much for what you get.

New Favorite Brand

I was initially attracted to The Conscious Bar for the simplicity of their ingredients and their Direct Trade practices with their suppliers so I decided to sample everything in one-go.

The Creamy Tahini has a very rich nutty-butter taste that wasn't what I expected (I thought there would be more of a vanilla taste to it personally) but still good. The Roasted Hazelnut and Almond Sea Salt were quite good despite me generally not caring for nuts in chocolate. The Toasted Coconut Flakes had me wanting more coconut flavor as it was very subtle, almost not noticeable to me. The Orange Blossom was very vibrant and interesting to me as I had never had a citrus and chocolate combination like that before. The Espresso Crunch was bold and complimented a variety of coffees quite well.

Finally, my favorite of the bunch ended up being Smooth Dark Chocolate. This one, in my opinion, embodies the idea "less is more" swimmingly. It's smooth and has a great cacao taste even at 75% while having that little bit of bitterness rounded out by the organic dates without going into "milk chocolate" territory. This flavor will be my go-to in the future and I look forward to incorporating it in other foods and desserts.

Seriously so good! Every flavor!
Tahini and orange I think are my favorite but can’t go wrong with trying variety pack. Worth every penny to enjoy chocolate in a more mindfully nutritious way!

Best Ever Chocolate and Healthy Too!

I have been trying lots of "high end" (expensive) chocolates, and had yet to find something that really captured my palate and imagination...and then came Conscious !

Taste is unbelievable and blood pressure stayed normal, which was key for me when eating chocolate, which usually has lots of sugar.

Conscious hits taste as well as health and I love it...

What makes The Conscious Bar healthier than other chocolate?

We consciously created bean-to-bar chocolate using two superfoods – Organic Cacao & Organic Dates. We intentionally wanted to use a sweetener that is rich both in taste and nutrients to create a memorable, and guilt free experience.

What does Indulge Freely mean exactly?

If you’ve had one of our bars, you’ve noticed the words “indulge freely” printed into each chocolate square. We believe that these two words embody the essence of why The Conscious Bar was created to begin with. We wanted to create a delicious guilt free chocolate bar that would stand the tests of flavor, ethics & environmental responsibility. Rest assured that you can indeed indulge freely when biting into one of our bars.

What are the Health Benefits of Dark Chocolate?

We use premium organic ingredients in all the bars to bring forth rich, unmatched flavor. All The Conscious Bars have a minimum of 75% cacao solids. In many studies, the consumption of dark chocolate has been shown to lower blood pressure. Dark chocolate is rich in antioxidants (specifically cocoa polyphenols), which can help to combat free radicals - destructive molecules that are implicated in heart disease and other ailments.

Why do we use organic dates to sweeten our bars?

We decided to sweeten our chocolate bars with organic dates not only because of it’s rich and delicious flavor, but also because of its magnificent nutritional value. Dates are stacked with fiber, antioxidants and minerals. Other benefits shown in studies claim that dates can contribute towards helping reduce inflammation, act as an energy booster & promote heart and brain health.
